Orihuela Costa F.C. is a football club set up by local parents and children based in the Orihuela Costa area. It has been set up to provide children a positive activity which will keep them fit and active and be part of a group with a focus and goal to achieve success through team work. Head Coach George Marshall who has worked for two other local soccer schools noticed a need for more affordable football for local children, but without dropping standards of facilities with qualified F.A. Coaching.
Working along side local businesses who's sponsorship goes 100% back into the club this allows Orihuela Costa F.C. to provide a fantastic affordable football program for children of all abilities.
Based at the new Playa Flamenca astro turf pitch it gives the club a safe location for children to learn and enjoy the game of football in a fantastic state of the art facility. Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 18.30 to 20.00. All levels of abilities are welcomed to attend training sessions and with the correct guidance and time scale children will gain the oppotunity on their own merit to play for a team in the local football leagues on Saturdays. The team currently play in the Veja Baja 7 - side league and will also be participating in the 11 - side Federation league.
Orihuela Costa F.C. also hold in house tournaments and competitions aswell as entering tournaments at various locations in Alicante and Murcia. Orihuela Costa F.C. also hold Player of the Month and Man of the Match awards which gives the players a great incentive to perform to the maximum of their ability and to gain reconition for their hard work and achievements.
Orihuela also prides itself on providing a great regular social scenes which unites players and families and creates friendships and bonds between players off the pitch which leads to a tighter unit on the pitch and thus leads to better performances. The events also gives the parents and families a chance to form friendships and network with each other aswell.
At Orihuela Costa F.C. Coaches are F.A. qualified, current 1st aid certificated, Safeguarding Children Certificated & Respect Certificated. We also have a Female F.A. certificated coaches at the club aswell with all the above qualifications.
